Rolling back the years!

SUCCESSFUL Hampshire businessman Peter Lelliott is among a growing band of men prepared to invest in cosmetic, dental and facial makeovers to help roll back the years and   look their best in the workplace.

He has had major dental work including laser whitening as well as botox, fillers and non-surgical facelifts.

Peter,46, from Winchester is an IT consultant travelling the world to meet with major customers and securing multi-million dollar contracts for such firms as Adobe, IBM and Lotus, where appearance does matter.

He is happy to talk about the treatments that have put a smile back on his face – and would encourage other men to spend more on their appearance than just a nice suit and shiny shoes.

“I’m not afraid to admit what I’ve had done.
“It’s amazing what a difference it has made to me – I do feel more confident in a business setting and when I walk into a room I can now smile and know that people feel the warm welcome and confidence one aspires to portray.

“I don’t see it as vanity – I saw it firstly as a medical need and when I saw the results I was so impressed I could not wait to try the facial treatments,
“With my work taking me to many countries and cultures – and working with younger customers – I didn’t want to be seen as being out of touch with today’s marketplace and looking fresher and younger certainly helped this,” he said.

He became a patient at the multi-award winning Stardent laser dental practice in Southampton and having sorted out his teeth, dentist and cosmetic treatment expert Mitra Najafi set about reversing the ageing process using treatments such as botox, fillers and Sculptra, a non-surgical facelift.

“I replaced Peter’s bridge, gave him white fillings instead of his old ones and he had laser teeth whitening,” explained Mitra.
“And then we discussed botox and other treatments and he decided to give that a go too.”

For many years Peter had suffered from terrible headaches and had regular migraine attacks. He had read how botox can sometimes help and was keen to see if it made a difference – and if it got rid of wrinkles at the same time, that would be an added bonus.

“I would suffer a migraine attack at least two or three times a month but now I rarely suffer from headaches and the lines that were caused by tension have become unnoticeable.
“Mitra was able to make me look fresher and that has definitely boosted my confidence.
“She is expert at doing the botox in such a way that it looks natural and does not hurt – I don’t have as many lines on my forehead.
“People say I am looking really well but they can’t tell I have had botox,” he said.

Stardent achieves fantastic results in 2008

award2008-crop1

LOOKING back on our success at the Private Dentistry Awards last year, I really want to thank my patients for helping me gain this recognition.

Out of hundreds of practices in the UK, I was nominated as Dentist of the Year and also for Practice of the Year 2008 – it was such an honour to get that far against such incredible competition.

We were also nominated for being the Most Improved and Innovative Practice as well as the Best Employer.

It was thanks to the glowing testimonials from my patients that we did so well and I really do appreciate your support..

As you probably know, we have twice been honoured in the past and recognised for offering the Best Patient Care in the UK.

I am keen to build on that success and I will keep you informed of our progress in this year’s competition.
